On October 3rd, Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis participated in a media day interview.
When asked about some legends suggesting that he should be in the MVP discussion, Davis said, "No, that's just my expectation for myself. Whether I enter that discussion or not, my expectation is to play at that level. Because I know it's beneficial for the team. I'm my own biggest critic, and after every game, I reflect on myself, 'You can do better in this aspect.' Even in wins, I watch the film, communicate with LeBron (James), communicate with Coach Vogel, trying to find ways I can improve individually and help the team. You can't control wins and losses, but you can control your energy and effort. This season, I want to build on what we did last season. Hopefully, when everything goes well, I'll be a part of those discussions." |
