"According to a monthly survey conducted by Citigroup, high-end gamblers in Macau set a new record for large bets during the Golden Week, with an average of 29,633 Hong Kong dollars (3,785 US dollars). This comes after last Thursday's survey of various Macau high-end mid-tier players, which observed a total betting amount of 15.1 million Hong Kong dollars, only 3% lower than the previous historical high of 15.5 million Hong Kong dollars observed in February 2019. The survey covered 508 high-end mid-tier players for this period, compared to 928 players in 2019, indicating that the data reached similar levels with a 44% reduction in the number of players.

Citigroup analysts George Choi and Ryan Cheung wrote, ""This means that the average bet per player has increased by 94% to 29,633 Hong Kong dollars, compared to 15,242 Hong Kong dollars (1,945 US dollars) during the 2019 National Day Golden Week."" ""The average minimum bet in Macau in October has also increased by 11% to approximately 2,348 Hong Kong dollars (300 US dollars), compared to 2,122 Hong Kong dollars (271 US dollars) in October 2019, which means that the quality of players in the high-end mid-tier segment is also improving.""

Citigroup stated that in terms of the average bet per player, this is ""undoubtedly the highest figure we have received since starting this survey six years ago."" ""The bets we observed in some major high-end mid-tier halls shocked us, and only then did we realize that the guests we saw were not ordinary high rollers. They are big whale high rollers!"" During the Golden Week, the organization observed a total of 33 ""whales"" (players who bet at least 100,000 Hong Kong dollars per hand), compared to 27 players in February 2019, with 3 players betting over 500,000 Hong Kong dollars per hand. The distribution of the betting total market share in the high-end mid-tier segment is fairly even, with Galaxy accounting for 25%, Melco 23%, Wynn 20%, and Sands 19%."

It's not surprising that Macau has this achievement.

You can only say that with more people in Macau, the profits naturally increase.
