On October 16th, in the NBA preseason, the Bucks defeated the Lakers 108-97 on the road. After the game, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was interviewed and talked about his teammate Damian Lillard.
"I've never seen a player get double-teamed in the first possession of a game; it surprised me. It's just a preseason game, not the playoffs, not the regular season, not mid-season championships, and not playoffs. It's just a preseason game, and he (Lillard) got double-teamed; that's crazy," Antetokounmpo said.
In the entire game, Antetokounmpo played for 15 minutes, made 7 of 10 field goals, 1 of 1 three-pointers, and 1 of 1 free throws, scoring 16 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, providing 1 assist, and blocking 2 shots.
Lillard started and played 22 minutes, making 3 of 10 field goals, 2 of 7 three-pointers, and 6 of 6 free throws, scoring 14 points, along with 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. |
