Cronos Name Service (CNS) is a decentralized domain protocol on the Cronos network, which was officially launched on April 28th. Cronos is established by the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com. Similar to most domain protocols, CNS follows a subscription model. For example, the registration fee for a 3-character domain for one year is $420, 4-character domains cost $170, and 5 characters or more are priced at $15.
As of July 28th, CNS has a total registration of 4,350 domains, with approximately 96% of them being 5-character domains and around 2.6% being 4-character domains. Compared to the initial launch period, the registration of new domains has significantly decreased. According to data from the largest NFT trading platform in the Cronos ecosystem, the total trading volume for CNS is about 7,000 CRO, approximately equivalent to $910 (calculated at $0.13 per CRO), and the floor price is around $6. |
