Golden Finance reported that Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan, issued a warning when releasing the company's 3rd quarter 2023 financial results. He stated that the world may be facing the "most dangerous period" in decades. Jamie Dimon mentioned that the Ukraine war, along with last week's attacks in Israel, could have far-reaching effects on energy and food markets, global trade, and geopolitical relations. Dimon emphasized that American consumers and businesses, overall, remain healthy. However, he cautioned that the labor market continues to be tight, the U.S. government's debt levels are extremely high, and the fiscal deficit has reached its highest point in peacetime, all of which increase the risk of sustained inflation and further rises in interest rates. |
