Social media fans praised Virat Kohli on Thursday, calling him the "Greatest of All Time" (GOAT) after his historic century against Bangladesh during the World Cup 2023 match in Pune. Indian cricket fans did, however, commend umpire Richard Kettleborough for refusing to award a wide when a Bangladeshi bowler bowled a clearly wide ball, which would have limited Kohli's chances of reaching a century. Kettleborough may have thought that had Kohli stayed put, the ball would have struck him on the pads, but he nevertheless judged the delivery to be wide.
