According to Tempo's report, the Indonesian Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) is set to launch a cryptocurrency trading platform in October 2023. Bappebti's head, Didid Noordiatmoko, stated that once the trading platform is operational, all cryptocurrency transactions will only be allowed through exchanges, and various processes will be regulated, including KYC. Didid mentioned that for the cryptocurrencies to be sold, Bappebti hopes they are locally based but still able to keep up with international market developments, including pricing, as long as they receive approval from Bappebti. |
