OpenSea has officially announced that it now accepts ApeCoin. Finally, we've been waiting for this, and I'm glad I didn't give up! Just recently, Ape became the largest Metaverse token by market cap.
The leading NFT marketplace, OpenSea, is now accepting ApeCoin, which is big news for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Yuga Labs, the creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, has abandoned building to date an alternate metaverse. The top NFT marketplace, OpenSea, has announced that it now accepts ApeCoin. This comes shortly after Ape became the largest metajet token by market cap. It's reported that, at the time of writing this, ApeCoin has risen by 24% in the past 1.3 hours and over 33% in the last week, according to data compiled by CoinMarketCap.
On the other hand, the virtual world game World, in collaboration with NFT gaming publisher Animoca, is building several projects, including Apes, CryptoPunks, Meebits, CoolCats, and more. Yuga Labs also plans to release Otherded NFTs, believed to be related to the ownership of virtual land, possibly in the Sandbox and Decentraland. These contracts will be available for public sale and gifted to owners of Bored Apes and Mutant Apes.
OpenSea has recently faced security issues and was in the spotlight again, with users suffering losses due to its listing bug and phishing attacks. It remains to be seen if OpenSea has taken note of Mark Cuban's advice on Twitter. |
