On October 28th, in an NBA regular season game, the Spurs defeated the Rockets 126-122 in overtime. After the game, Spurs' rookie, Vich Victor Wembanyama, talked about his feelings after winning his first regular season game.
"I really, really love winning; it's my favorite thing in life," said Wembanyama.
"It's a fantastic feeling. When I got back to the locker room, Coach Popovich also told me that this was my first NBA career victory. I enjoyed this moment, and I'm proud of myself," continued Wembanyama.
"Of course, it's just one win, and we'll have more challenging games ahead, so let's stay focused on the next game. But for now, I'm still proud of myself," Wembanyama said.
In the entire game, Wembanyama started and played for 31 minutes, making 7 out of 19 field goals, 0 out of 6 three-point attempts, and 7 out of 8 free throws, scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. |
