Who hasn't tried quitting gambling? I think most of the friends here have attempted it.
I used to have a method for quitting gambling, which was to find a hobby to replace the habit of gambling. Every time the urge to gamble arose, I reminded myself of how much money I had lost last time and what had happened. This helped me control the desire to gamble.
It's easier said than done, though. In everyone's mind, there is a demon and an angel residing. It's the demon that makes me want to gamble, while the angel suppresses it. If I could choose, I'd rather go with the angel, but the demon's power is too strong and often overcomes the angel.
Losing money is certainly bad, but winning money makes me happier. What's gambling for? Ultimately, it's all about money, hoping to make some quick earnings. |
