"Today, I witnessed a scene that seemed oddly familiar in a cafe, which made me recall my days as a waiter.
I remember one time when I was serving a ""wealthy"" individual, and he trampled on my dignity with his money.
Back then, this customer came to the cafe with his girlfriend, and he accidentally bumped into me. As a result, the coffee spilled all over me. Later, his girlfriend insisted that he should apologize to me.
I initially thought he was a well-mannered person, but it turned out that he had a heart of bronze. He said, ""Why should I apologize to someone of lower status?"" Those words left a deep mark on my heart.
He then took out money and threw it in my face, claiming that all I cared about was money. Though it was insulting, I was going through a tough time back then. Should I have refused the money when it was offered to me? Of course not, I picked it up.
From that moment on, I silently vowed never to let anyone look down on me. I started working hard to earn more money, find better jobs, and engage in any profitable activities available." |
