According to a report by The Sun, after prolonged and extensive price negotiations, Sheikh Jassim from a Qatari consortium is set to acquire English Premier League club Manchester United for approximately $7.6 billion. Previously, the Qatari consortium engaged in a protracted battle with the British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos Group, but Qatar is now prepared to announce victory.
The Sun report states that ""the date for an official announcement is set, possibly as early as next month."" Currently, the Qatari investment team is conducting due diligence, and it is expected that all details will be finalized by October. As reported earlier, the Qatari consortium is set to acquire 100% ownership of Manchester United.
Many Manchester United fans have been eagerly anticipating the sale of the club to Qatar. It is said that Qatar has committed to investing a substantial amount of money into the club's infrastructure, including upgrading the iconic Old Trafford stadium. |
