On November 3rd, The Sandbox announced in a post that during the inaugural Global Creator Day event, Chief Content Officer Nicola Sebastiani and Director of Creator Ecosystem Mathieu Cervety, along with the co-founders, unveiled three significant releases aimed at enhancing the capabilities of creators in the platform's ecosystem, with a focus on user-generated content (UGC).
Firstly, starting from November 3rd, LAND owners on The Sandbox can publish completed experiences on The Sandbox map without the need for an application process, making the metaverse fully open to UGC.
Secondly, a new GameMaker version with updated game mechanics, templates, and social interactions will be launched by the end of 2023.
Thirdly, in 2024, a new Game Maker Fund of 100 million SAND tokens will be introduced, with a DAO-based selection system that rewards not only content creation but also engagement within the platform.
In addition, The Sandbox will introduce eight new cultural and geographic communities on its map in 2023, including Voxel Madness, MegaCity 3, Infinite Pulse, Kverse, Lion City, and other projects. |
