On Sunday evening, NFTs and blockchain made a special appearance in "The Simpsons." In the Halloween special episode of the iconic animated series "Treehouse of Horror 34," titled "Wild Barts Can't Be Broken," the show repeatedly mentions people's overestimation of on-chain NFTs.

On the same day, "The Simpsons" themed NFT series, Springfield Punks, was released and made available for free minting by the creator Rino Russo. As of the time of writing, according to Blur market data, the floor price of the NFT project Springfield Punks has risen to 0.35 ETH.
