On November 9th, Tom Emmer, the Majority Party Whip of the Republican Party in the U.S. House of Representatives, stated on social media, "My bipartisan appropriations amendment aimed at curbing the SEC's abuse of enforcement in the digital asset industry passed in the House today with no objections. The amendment prohibits the SEC from using taxpayer resources to take enforcement actions against the digital asset industry until Congress passes legislation authorizing regulatory enforcement jurisdiction."
