November 11th News: Today, the Lakers defeated the Suns 122-119 on the road. After the game, Lakers forward LeBron James was interviewed on the sidelines.
When asked why the team protected the rebounds in the fourth quarter, James said, "I don't know, I think we're just finally tired of giving up rebounds. We did a good job boxing out, I think Christian Wood did a great job protecting the rebounds at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and we finally started hitting three-pointers. That definitely helped us come back in the game."
When asked how to stop Kevin Durant from turning the game around at crucial moments, James said, "Can you really stop him from beating you? You have to double-team him, you have to use two, sometimes three or four people to defend him because he is that excellent. He is not just outstanding; he is exceptional. I apologize, don't let me disrespect Kevin Durant. We worked hard to make it difficult for him throughout the game, but he is an outstanding player."
In this game, James played for 36 minutes, made 11 of 17 shots, scored 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. |
