German federal parliamentarian Joana Cotar, in an interview, expressed support for making Bitcoin the legal tender of Germany. She aims to initiate a "preliminary examination" of the legal framework to formally recognize Bitcoin as the country's legal currency.

To further push this issue and raise awareness within the German parliament, Cotar has launched the "Bitcoin in the Federal Parliament" initiative to help promote the benefits of Bitcoin, enabling lawmakers to make informed decisions. The lawmaker claims to be fully dedicated to Bitcoin and is not interested in other cryptocurrencies in the market.

It seems unlikely for Bitcoin to become a legal tender.

Making it legal tender is something that needs careful consideration.
