Previously, I heard from others that there might be a coin in the future that could replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been around for a long time, and just like a car, with prolonged use, there can be issues with parts and the body. Bitcoin, being around for a while, also has many bugs. Moreover, compared to the technology when Bitcoin was invented and the present, it has indeed become somewhat outdated. So, is it possible that Bitcoin might be replaced by something else? It's uncertain, but not impossible.
I heard from my friend that Solana might be the one to replace Bitcoin, claiming it's more stable. However, I just saw the news that Solana's Wormhole bridge has a bug and was exploited, resulting in a loss of $3.22 billion. So, Solana still has a long way to go if it wants to replace Bitcoin.
I'm pondering, if one day the technology of Bitcoin really becomes outdated and gets replaced, what will happen to those who hold a significant amount of Bitcoin? |
