A ball bounces in the pitch before it reaches a batsman. There are, however, restrictions on bowling full toss balls above a certain height. However, does a cricket ball need to bounce once for it to qualify as a legal ball? Let us check:

No need. A full toss is a legal delivery if the ball remains below the waist height of the batsman involved.

A full toss when bowled below the waist length of the batsman is a legal delivery.

It doesn't need to bounce since cricket allows a waist-height length relaxation for the bowlers to bowl a full toss delivery.
