On November 19th, in the ATP Finals singles semi-final, local player Stefanos Tsitsipas fought a tough three-set battle, defeating Medvedev with scores of 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-1. This marks his third consecutive victory over Medvedev since October. It is Tsitsipas's first time advancing to the ATP Finals championship match and reaching the highest-level singles final of his professional career. This is also the Italian's seventh tour final this season and the 14th in his career.
In the other semi-final, Novak Djokovic swept past Alcaraz with scores of 6-3, 6-2. This marks Djokovic's second consecutive year reaching the tournament final and his ninth career appearance in the ATP Finals Men's Singles championship match. He will compete for the championship against Tsitsipas, who defeated him in the group stage. |
