From childhood, our parents have always taught us not to steal, but there are still people in the world who enjoy theft, and some even consider it a hobby. It's really frustrating! There's a suspected compulsive gambler who, seemingly due to prolonged unemployment and lack of income, bravely used a hammer after drinking to break car windows in a parking lot for theft.

This incident occurred a few days ago when someone reported that their car window had been smashed, and three red envelopes containing coins were missing. During the police investigation, three more victims reported similar incidents. In two cases, triangular car windows were smashed but nothing was stolen. In another case, the victim claimed that the car door might not have been locked, and the thief took a pair of black sunglasses and two pairs of new shoes, resulting in a total loss of about 4,500 yuan. After analyzing the cases, the police found that the modus operandi was very similar, and all incidents occurred in the same parking lot. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, a suspicious man with a motive was identified, and he was arrested by the police with stolen items. The suspect admitted that he would drink to boost his courage before each crime, initially using his bare hands to open car doors and later resorting to a hammer.

I think, with hands and feet, why resort to theft? Clearly, one can earn money through their own abilities, but unfortunately, this person got involved in gambling, becoming a compulsive gambler. If he didn't have this gambling problem, would he have ended up in this situation? Life is still long, why not work on improving one's life?

This guy is only involved in theft, which can be considered relatively restrained.

It's because he has been poisoned by gambling, and it has ruined him. The person has become worthless.

Stealing is less harmful than robbery after all. Additionally, judging from his behavior of drinking before each crime, although it may seem like a smokescreen, it indicates that this person still retains some conscience.
