During the rain-shortened second Twenty20 International against South Africa in Gqeberha on Tuesday, Rinku Singh demonstrated his T20 credentials in a most convincing manner. When the rain started, the 26-year-old from Aligarh, who had come in at 55/3 in the sixth over, struck an unbeaten 68 off 39 balls to help India reach 180/7 in 19.3 overs. The hosts easily defeated a revised target of 152 in 15 overs in 13.5 overs thanks to a six from Andile Phehlukwayo to end the game. With a 27-ball 49, opener Reeze Hendricks stole the show in the chase.
