Have you ever encountered such people in real life? Clearly, others are doing well, but they become envious, and may even murmur a few words under their breath. Using gambling as a metaphor, some people, when they see others winning big money, feel uncomfortable inside. Some individuals may make snide remarks, leaving you with a lingering discomfort—a low-level form of harm but incredibly irritating.
Honestly, such people can be really annoying! Everyone is pursuing a better life and higher status, so competition among people is particularly fierce. Some individuals may think that if others are doing well, it means they are not. However, this is a complete misunderstanding. Of course, there are also those who may be naturally a bit petty, unable to tolerate others being better than themselves. Such people may be difficult to change. Nevertheless, we can choose to avoid such individuals, not engage in their level of discourse, and maintain a distance.
In conclusion, why some people ""can't stand others doing well"" is indeed a complex issue. It may be related to their personality, upbringing, and societal pressures. However, regardless of the reasons, let's strive not to be such people. We should maintain an open mindset, appreciate the goodness in others, and cherish our own past and present. If you encounter such individuals next time, just pretend you didn't see them and continue with your good days! |
