The IPL 2024 auction included Shashank Singhs on it. The middle-order from Chattisgarh, 32 years old and hard-hitting, and the rookie from Bengal, 19, who hasn't even played first-class cricket, were the two that PBKS purchased. The latter was the one that went unsold on Tuesday after coming up first in the accelerated portion of the auction. About three minutes later, the seasoned hitter who was a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team the previous season, came up. The only other franchise to submit a bid was PBKS. Following the fall of the auctioneer Mallika Sagar's hammer, the player was sold to them.
