The Proteas gave India a reality check in the second ODI after disappointing in the first. South Africa, chasing 212, raced to 215/2 in 42.3 overs thanks to half-century player Reeze Hendricks (52) and opener Tony de Zorzi (119*) scoring his maiden century. For the visitors, Rinku Singh and Arshdeep Singh each took a wicket. India was first dismissed for 211 in 46.2 overs, with half-centuries being scored by KL Rahul (56), and Sai Sudharsan (62). Nandre Burger took three wickets in the bowling department for South Africa.
