The decision to bar spectators from a two-day tour match between Victoria and Pakistan in advance of the Boxing Day Test has been met with criticism from cricket enthusiasts. Following Pakistan's 360-run defeat to Australia in the opening Test match, the match was hurriedly arranged at the last minute with the intention of providing the visiting team with much-needed match experience. However, Melbourne cricket fans who were hoping to see the match at Junction Oval in person were severely let down. The match would take place behind closed doors, with spectators locked out and unable to enter, it was announced on Friday.
