December 21 News: The 76ers defeated the Timberwolves 127-113 in the game. After the game, 76ers player Tyrese Maxey was interviewed.
When asked about his feelings watching Embiid deliver outstanding performances every night, Maxey said, "I tell everybody, we try hard not to take all of this for granted. What I mean is, he consistently performs at this level every night. It's hard not to think that way. But, you know, we expect that kind of performance, and we expect him to play like this every night."
When asked if his goal is to become an All-Star, Maxey said, "Those things are things that come with it. Right now, I'm mainly focused on getting better every day, and I feel like that's what we're doing. We're on the right path."
In this game, Maxey played 37 minutes as a starter, making 12 out of 24 field goals, 5 out of 12 three-pointers, and contributing 35 points and 5 assists.
Embiid played 36 minutes as a starter, making 17 out of 25 field goals, 17 out of 18 free throws, and contributing 51 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists.
