According to reports from international gaming companies, Indiana generated $48.6 million in tax revenue from slot machines and table games in November. Additionally, there was $29 million in revenue from sports betting. The Hard Rock Casino in northern Indiana solidified its position as the highest-grossing casino in the United States for the 25th consecutive month, as reflected in the revenue chart of the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC).

As of December 12th data, the Hard Rock Casino in northern Indiana reported a substantial increase in revenue to $37.2 million in November, a 5.1% growth compared to the same period last year when it was $35.4 million.
This entertainment, dining, and leisure complex in Gary not only maintained its leading position but also made a significant contribution to the state's total casino revenue, accounting for nearly 20% of Indiana's total revenue of $190.8 million in November 2023.
Matt Schuffert, the president of the Hard Rock Casino in northern Indiana, attributed their continued success to various factors mentioned by the Northwest Indiana Times.
The sustained growth is truly remarkable, Schuffert commented, attributing it to a robust entertainment schedule, new gaming products, and the promotion of seasonal food and beverage menus.
Rock music not only dominates the music scene but also extends its influence to slot machine games. The game proudly claims a leading position in the local state, with a total revenue of $253.6 million and a profit of $25.8 million. In comparison, the gaming revenue in November 2022 was $235.5 million, with slot machines earning $23.3 million.
It's noteworthy that the Gary casino became the leader in table games in the state in 2004, primarily due to baccarat games, generating revenue of $48.6 million and securing the top spot with $11.4 million in income. To maintain an objective perspective on this achievement, the Hard Rock Casino had more gaming tables in November than the total of the other three casinos in northwest Indiana, amounting to $40.6 million.
In November, the revenue of the Horseshoe Casino declined by 11.3%, losing its market-leading position in Indiana.
In stark contrast, the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, once a leader in the state's revenue, now ranks third statewide, winning only $22.8 million, a decrease of 11.3% from November 2022. Other significant players, such as Ameristar Casino in East Chicago and the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, also experienced declines of 13.3% and 3%, respectively.
Meanwhile, Indiana saw a surge in sports betting in November. The total revenue from online and retail sports betting across the state reached $513.7 million, compared to $452.3 million during the same period in 2022. As the year-end approaches, the Hard Rock Casino in northern Indiana remains optimistic, planning to host a free New Year's Eve concert in 2023, featuring the Sugar Ray band on their Hard Rock Café stage. |
