On December 24th, the Pistons suffered a 115-126 defeat against the Nets, marking their 26th consecutive loss and tying the record for the longest losing streak in a single season. After the game, Pistons head coach Monty Williams gave an interview.
Monty said, "In the second quarter, we scored 35 points. Our defense wasn't great, but we were scoring. What I want to say is, you have to keep going, keep fighting. Our young players need to keep working hard."
"In this league, losing consistently is tough. Everyone is battling every night, and I'm proud of them."
Next, the Pistons will face the Nets again on December 27th.
