He is one of the most controversial personalities in the football world, initially poised to be the third person in the Messi-Ronaldo era but continuously making bizarre moves that earned him the reputation of a clown.

What kind of player is Mario Balotelli?

In a friendly match, Balotelli received a pass from his teammate and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. What followed left everyone in disbelief. Instead of taking a shot, Balotelli strolled casually, and then, with an absurd Marseille spin, he sent the ball over the endline. This move left his coach, Roberto Mancini, furious. Balotelli went from enraging Mancini one moment to performing magic the next.

In the 2011 season's Manchester Derby, Balotelli transformed into ""Super Mario,"" scoring twice to dazzle the entire stadium. After scoring, Balotelli famously revealed a T-shirt with the words, ""Why always me?"" becoming an iconic moment in the Manchester Derby's history.

Let's rewind to the 2012 UEFA European Championship group stage, where Italy faced Spain. Balotelli made a powerful steal in the opposition's half and found himself in the box with numerous options. However, in that moment, time seemed to stand still.

Balotelli bizarrely chose to contemplate life, allowing Sergio Ramos to take the opportunity to clear the ball. A few minutes later, the coach substituted Balotelli, seemingly to let him continue pondering life.

After madness comes genius!

In the subsequent semi-final, facing the formidable German team, Balotelli rose above his marker and scored in the 20th minute. His celebration was exuberant, and what followed was even more spectacular. In the 35th minute, Balotelli brilliantly positioned himself, eluded defenders, dribbled into the edge of the penalty area, and unleashed a shot that was an unstoppable screamer. Even the great Manuel Neuer couldn't do anything but watch the ball hit the back of the net.

After scoring, Balotelli took off his jersey and stood quietly, as if telling everyone, ""You'll never understand the divine."" This moment also became a classic football memory.

Half genius, half madman. You'll never comprehend Balotelli's world!

Balotelli has great talent, but unfortunately, he hasn't been managed well.

Balotelli's world is a lonely one because no one can understand it.

Balotelli is already a faded or past-prime player.

Genius and madness can sometimes blur the lines and be indistinguishable from one another!
