On December 27th, in today's NBA regular-season game, the Pistons lost to the Nets 112-118, experiencing a consecutive losing streak of 27 games.
This 27-game losing streak for the Pistons surpasses the Cavaliers' 26-game losing streak in the 2010-11 season, establishing the longest single-season losing streak in NBA history.
At the same time, they are just one game away from the all-time longest losing streak (28 consecutive losses by the 76ers in the 2014-15 season, spanning two seasons).
In the next game, the Pistons will face the Eastern Conference leaders, the Celtics, on the road.
