If time could rewind, would I choose to embark on the path of gambling?

Gambling, it seems, is always accompanied by endless temptations and risks. In this ever-changing world, people may, at times, get caught up in the whirlwind of gambling due to a momentary impulse or a brief stroke of luck. Looking back, I couldn't help but ponder silently.

My first encounter with gambling was through a friend's invitation. At that time, I knew nothing about this world and simply walked through the doors of that casino with a 'give it a try' attitude. The exhilarating atmosphere, vibrant lights, and immersive surroundings made me feel like I had entered a completely different realm from reality. Initially, I placed cautious bets, experiencing the ups and downs of wins and losses. Despite the insignificant amounts, the rollercoaster of emotions associated with winning and losing was hard to forget.

As time passed, I found myself increasingly drawn to the allure of gambling. Every visit to the casino brought a sense of excitement and thrill that was worlds apart from my daily life. However, I also began to experience the bitterness and anguish that often accompanies gambling. The moments of joy and the money won could vanish in an instant. The feelings of frustration and regret when losing money were indescribable, haunting me like an inescapable torment.

In retrospect, if time could be reversed, perhaps I would make different choices. While gambling occasionally provided temporary gratification, its associated risks and uncertainties should not be overlooked. I would cherish the time that should have been devoted to more meaningful pursuits, such as spending time with family, friends, learning, and pursuing hobbies.

The path of life is not a singular one, and everyone faces moments of confusion and hesitation when making choices. Even if we take detours, we can learn valuable lessons and grow into better versions of ourselves. Perhaps, without venturing onto the path of gambling, I wouldn't have truly experienced its ups and downs or gained profound insights into myself. Every choice in life, to some extent, shapes our life's journey.

So, returning to the original question, if time could rewind, would I choose to embark on the path of gambling? I believe the answer may not be that important. What truly matters is that in reality, we must learn to face choices with wisdom and prudence, and approach life's challenges and opportunities with a more mature attitude. Whether in the past or the future, every step we take forms a colorful tapestry of our life.

Of course, I wouldn't. It's too exhausting and tormenting.

Your assumption is meaningless. Time won't rewind,
and it won't give me a chance to choose again.
We should look forward,
cherish the present, and embrace the future.

There are no 'ifs' here. We've already set foot on this path,
and it's either going all the way or heading into the abyss.
The chances of turning back are few and far between.

Who knows? The chance to start over might not be what we expect.

Some people on the forum claim they've gone astray and started gambling. I told them it's nonsense. If you found yourself going astray, why did you get into stock trading later? In reality, you're just a natural gambler. You liked gambling in your past life, and you still like it in this life. As for myself, I do have a little regret, maybe. But in the end, if I had to choose again, I'd probably still gamble.
