December 27 News: Kerr and Kuminga spent part of their time watching video in Wednesday's local time training, and the coach pointed out areas where the 21-year-old forward can improve.
"I'm very pleased with JK's progress," Kerr said. "One thing he's doing better now is that when the ball comes to him, he can quickly pass it, so we can take advantage of the fast ball movement. I've seen him make five or six assists in the last three games, where he immediately passed the ball to Curry or Klay Thompson, giving them an open shooting opportunity. At the beginning of the season, he didn't see these opportunities. He used to stop and hold the ball after receiving it, causing our offense to stall. He has improved in this aspect now."
Kerr added, "He's still a young player with not much experience, so there are many situations where you have to tell him how to position himself, how to fight for rebounds, and where he should stand. These are all important, especially when most of our games are close."
"He is very willing to receive coaching. We will continue to guide him and help him find the right position and make the right decisions."
