On December 31st, in the NBA regular season, the Raptors were defeated 127-129 by the Pistons on the road. After the game, Raptors forward Pascal Siakam was interviewed and talked about the earlier trade involving OG Anunoby.
"It's obviously a tough day. Changes happen like this, and it's never easy. For many of us on the team, this is almost the first time experiencing something like this... but I've seen it before," said Siakam.
"OG (Anunoby) is an essential part of our team's achievements, and he's an incredible teammate, an excellent player... I hope good things happen for him in the future," Siakam expressed.
In the entire game, Siakam started and played for 40 minutes, making 14 of 24 field goal attempts, hitting 2 of 2 three-pointers, and making 5 of 8 free throws, scoring 35 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
