News on January 2nd: The Dallas Mavericks suffered a 90-127 defeat to the Utah Jazz in the game. After the game, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd gave an interview.
Talking about Kyrie Irving's comeback, Kidd said, "I think Kyrie is doing well, he's working to get into that state. Sometimes, when players return from injuries, their performance may be a bit lacking. I feel like the team is relying on Kyrie to drive us a bit right now. But I have to give credit to the Jazz, they came out and hit us hard."
Discussing the game, Kidd said, "The Jazz played at full speed, and we were at half-speed. Whenever this happens, you cannot succeed. Tonight, we also lacked communication. As a coach, I have to accept criticism. We need to perform better."
In this game, Kyrie Irving played for 32 minutes in the starting lineup, making 6 out of 14 field goals, 2 out of 3 three-pointers, contributing 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 block. |
