News on January 2nd: The Bucks fell to the Pacers 113-122.
After the game, Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin spoke to the media and discussed the double-teaming defense employed by the Pacers against Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo.
"I think it's great; it helps us prepare for the future," Adrian Griffin said in the interview.
"Double-teaming is the most commonly used tactic by your opponents, especially in the playoffs. The opponents will definitely double or triple-team Giannis Antetokounmpo."
"So, tactics like this from the opponents can give us the opportunity to get better."
"Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double today, and we have adapted to the double-teaming defense against him."
"In the fourth quarter of the game, when you make mistakes, the damage is multiplied. But overall, we handled the Pacers' double-teaming tactics well today."
In this game, Giannis Antetokounmpo played for 37 minutes, scoring 30 points, grabbing 18 rebounds, dishing out 11 assists, with 1 steal and 2 blocks, shooting 11 out of 20 from the field. |
