With the same whine that marked the end of 2023, Babar Azam's 2024 has started. The former captain of Pakistan finally called it quits on his nightmare innings against Australia, scoring a meagre 23 as his side collapsed to lose 7 wickets for 68 in the second innings of the Sydney Test. After being dismissed for 26 in the opening over by an in-dipper from Pat Cummins, Babar was removed by the captain of Australia, out LBW once more. With this, Babar's campaign in Australia comes to an end. This was his second Test series in Australia. He scored a pitiful 126 runs from six innings at an average of 21, with a peak of 41 in the MCG Test.
