On January 4, 2024, Ethereum developers gathered on Zoom for the All Core Developers Execution (ACDE) Call #178. Typically hosted by Tim Beiko, the protocol manager at the Ethereum Foundation, ACDE calls are bi-weekly meetings for developers to discuss and coordinate changes to the Ethereum Execution Layer (EL). This week's meeting was chaired by an anonymous Geth EL developer using the alias "Lightclient." The developers reaffirmed the activation dates for the next three public testnets for the Cancun/Deneb upgrade. They also discussed priorities for code changes (EIPs) in the upcoming hard fork upgrade, Prague/Electra, following Deneb.
