Circle's Director of EU Strategy and Policy, Patrick Hansen, stated on the X platform that some spot Bitcoin ETFs are about to be approved in the United States, but EU investors won't be able to invest in them. While Bitcoin ETP/ETN has existed in Europe for years, the largest Bitcoin ETC fund's size is only 1 billion euros. The future SEC-approved US Bitcoin ETFs are expected to have a striking difference in fees compared to the current Bitcoin ETP/ETN fees in Europe. Although the United States took several years to catch up, if these Bitcoin ETFs are approved as expected, U.S. investors will have cheaper and safer Bitcoin security product options compared to EU investors. Therefore, due to the overall larger scale of the U.S. capital market, the size of U.S. Bitcoin ETFs will immediately surpass and outshine EU ETP/ETN similar products. |
