News on January 8th: Today, the Lakers defeated the Clippers 106-103 at home, ending a four-game losing streak. After the game, Lakers forward LeBron James was interviewed on the sidelines.
Discussing the key to the victory in this game, James said, "Defense. The opponent is one of the league's most potent scoring teams, and for us to only concede 103 points at home is crucial for our success."
Regarding his extensive defensive matchups against Kawhi Leonard in this game, James said, "I guess, when facing any great player, you have to make them exert effort and disrupt their shots while avoiding fouls. I think we did a good job of keeping him off the free-throw line. Players will always make shots; you just have to accept the results."
In this game, LeBron James played for 38 minutes, making 11 shots out of 19 and scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.
