Saudi Arabia, which has made a number of investments that have upended professional sports like football and golf, has indicated interest in purchasing a multibillion dollar stake in the Indian Premier League, the most lucrative competition in international cricket. According to people familiar with the matter, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's advisors have discussed transferring the Indian Premier League into a holding company with a potential value of up to $30 billion, in which Saudi Arabia would subsequently acquire a sizeable stake.
