In the Big Bash League (BBL) 2023–24 league stage match at Docklands Stadium on Saturday (January 13), Melbourne Renegades defeated Melbourne Stars by six wickets. Following the conclusion of the recent game, Shaun Marsh, who is 23 years old, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Despite the Renegades' elimination from the Playoffs, Marsh led his team to victory against the Stars by hitting an undefeated 64 in 49 balls and claiming 10 boundaries. The cherry on top of his penultimate game was winning Player of the Match for his outstanding knock.
