FINRA is a self-regulatory organization in the United States responsible for regulating securities broker-dealers, operating under the supervision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The development and advertising of cryptocurrency assets are among the new themes covered within the 26 topics. The report states, "FINRA's Member Application Program (MAP) follows SEC guidance in evaluating firms' proposed lines of business involving crypto securities in accordance with applicable rules such as the SEC's financial responsibility rules and customer protection rules." |
