After Afghanistan defended a target of 213 and India had removed both of their openers after the 120th over, the match appeared to be over. But Gulbadin Naib and Muhammad Nabi mounted a stunning counterattack that forced the Indians to retreat. Nabi was dismissed for 34 off 16 balls, ending a 56-run partnership with Gulbadin that required just 22 balls. Gulbadin, though, continued as wickets fell at the other end. Afghanistan tied the score and he finished undefeated on 55 off 23, remarkably forcing the match into a Super Over.
