Cricket Australia (CA) is pushing for Cricket ACT to become a co-owner of Cricket Australia and enter teams in the Big Bash competitions for both men and women. The multimillion-dollar license bid from Cricket ACT was reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, which also revealed that the company had presented the issue to the CA board and the federal government. However, the owners of the state associations in California have long opposed adding teams in the Northern Territory or the ACT. That is one of the main obstacles, along with money.
