Just three days before the second Test against England got underway, Team India suffered a severe blow when all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and batsman KL Rahul were declared out of the match at the Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. As a result, the BCCI selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, added three players to the team for the second Test, two of whom may make their debut for India in the upcoming game.
