Why didn't Harden make the All-Star selection?
Let's take a look at an objective and fair analysis!
Firstly, the All-Star reserves are selected by a vote from the league's 30 coaches.
Their criteria for selection are different from the fans'!
This time, it's highly likely that "The Beard" fell short in terms of attendance.
Harden only played in 33 games, what does that mean?
It's just a bit more than Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis, who are often sidelined...
Coaches prefer hardworking players; lying low probably won't get you noticed...
Another reason is that since Harden joined the 76ers, his style of play has become more team-oriented,
with more three-point shots that may not be as entertaining to watch!
Then there's the conspiracy theory that's been going around...
Harden is an Adidas athlete, and the NBA is a hook-up league,
so stars from other brands naturally may not be favored.
As for the online rumors about hook-ups manipulating the NBA, they have been widely circulated.
This is not the first time Harden has faced double standards; Harden's fans should be aware
that every MVP selection, he tends to face special treatment.
If Harden's stats are superior, the focus is on the team's record.
If Harden leads his team to a good record, then individual stats come into play.
Speaking of this, my heart goes out to Harden!
This year's All-Star game without the "The Beard" has indeed lost some of its entertainment value. |
