How did Jayasuriya trigger a dramatic collapse of Afghanistan ?

SL beat AFG by 10 wickets in the one-off Test in Colombo, thanks to Jayasuriya’s five-wicket haul in the second innings. AFG, who were 214 for 1 in their second innings, lost their last nine wickets for 82 runs. SL openers - Karunaratne and Madushka - chased down 56 runs in 44 balls.

AFG had fought well on the third day, with Ibrahim’s maiden Test ton and Noor Ali and Rahmat’s contributions. But they collapsed on the fourth morning. Rajitha got Rahmat, and Jayasuriya bowled Ibrahim. The left-arm spinner also dismissed Shahidi, Qais, Zia and Naveed. Alikhil and Saifi fell to Fernando.

SL openers attacked Naveed and Qais and finished the chase in eight overs.
